Dubai, 27 November 2011 UAE: Visa, one of the world’s leading payment solution providers, has announced a new partnership with Aramex, the global logistics and transportation solutions provider, giving Visa cardholders discounted membership and shipping fees through Aramex’s online service, “Shop and Ship”.
Active now, the partnership with Aramex means that Visa cardholders can enjoy the ease and convenience of online shopping from their favourite online stores in the US, Europe and China, at even better rates. To start enjoying the benefits of this offer, Visa cardholders need to register online with Aramex’s “Shop and Ship” service (www.shopandship.com), where they will be offered a 50 per cent discount on the Lifetime Membership, and 10 per cent off shipping charges thereafter. This offer will be valid in United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon and Jordan.
Maysara Ghadban Traboulsi, Head of Marketing Communications Middle East for Visa, said “We are delighted to announce this partnership with Aramex “Shop and Ship”, which is one of the region’s biggest online delivery brands in the Middle East.
We're committed to offering our cardholders convenient and rewarding experiences when they use their Visa debit or credit cards, and this initiative provides a great platform for doing just that. It’s also very much in line with Visa’s strategy to support e-commerce across the region and will further reinforce the message that online shopping – whether it is locally, regional and internationally – not only opens our eyes to increased choices, but is also a safe and convenient shopping experience.”
Mrs. Ghadban added: “This is great opportunity for our customers to reap the benefits from shopping online from their favourite online stores and helps encourage shopping online as we expect it to have huge potential for growth in the future.”
Hassan Mikail, Regional E-commerce Services Manager, Aramex commented on the partnership: “We are delighted to work together with Visa to bring this offer to their cardholders, which will make visiting e-shops in the US, UK and Europe all the more convenient and affordable. By using this service, consumers in the Middle East no longer need to be concerned about whether the US, UK and European e-shops that they visit offer the option of international shipping or whether they charge high shipping fees.”
The offer is available now until 15th January 2012.
