Deal to expand and enhance services in Europe and across the Atlantic

Dubai, September 19, 2005: ARAMEX, part of Arab International Logistics (AIL) and listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM: ARMX), has acquired Priority Airfreight, a leading UK-based express service provider that specializes in courier traffic between the UK and the US.

The acquisition of Priority Airfreight, which boasts 25 years of experience in the express business, will significantly boost ARAMEX’s shipment volume between the American and European continents and enhance its share of the cross Atlantic express trade. A licensed US Corporate Broker and a UK Import Broker, Priority will also bring to Aramex critical access to the US and UK markets that is sure to strengthen its presence in these two major countries.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mr. Fadi Ghandour, ARAMEX CEO, said: “This strategic move by ARAMEX will allow us to be much more creative with our service offerings and much more aggressive with our service performance. The acquisition positions us very well in an extremely competitive sector at a time of upsurge in demand and growth.”
Mr. Ghandour pointed out that the added value to Aramex’s customers will be tangible and immediate, stressing that this latest purchase will bolster Aramex’s credentials as a truly global total transportation solutions provider.

Mr. Adrian Horsley, ARAMEX VP for Express Services, indicated that Aramex plans to increase efficiency by consolidating the two companies’ New York and UK operations. “There are wonderful synergies between our two setups. We will focus our efforts on sharpening these and reaping the full benefits of a very lean and well run organization,” he said.
