For legal, privacy, and security reasons, no one is allowed to use the mailbox registered in your name. You are the only person allowed to use your mailbox to receive packages.
Can my friends who live in the USA or the UK send packages to me through my Shop&Ship mailbox?
Of course, this is what your Shop&Ship mailbox is for.
Does Aramex offer mailboxes in countries other than the US or the UK?
Right now, Aramex only offers mailboxes in the US and the UK. Once we establish a new mailbox service location, we will notify you.
Can I request from Aramex New York or London offices to forward to me an urgent shipment once it hits my mailbox?
Regretfully, we won’t be able to accommodate any special shipping requests.
Are there any restrictions or limitations on certain packages in terms of their value?
Aramex ships all Shop&Ship packages as express courier service. Therefore, the maximum value allowed per package should not exceed $2500 from USA and £1200 from UK. Packages valued above those figures must come with an Export Declaration Form from the shipper or the merchant.
Can I ship my Shop&Ship packages as Airfreight or Cargo?
You can have your Shop&Ship package shipped as airfreight, if all the following requirements are met:
- The weight of your package exceeds 50 LB (23 KG).
- The shipper or merchant can supply Aramex with an original invoice that:
- Lists the package contents.
- Shows a physical address for the shipper or merchant in the USA.
- Indicates your full and final overseas shipping address details
- If the value of your Shop&Ship product or invoice is above $ 2500 from USA and £1200 from UK,
the shipper or merchant must provide an Export Declaration Document.
What is the difference between actual weight and volumetric weight and what will I be charged for?
Actual weight is exactly what it means, the weight of the package. Volumetric weight takes into consideration the dimensions of the package, so if you order a tall vase, the package volumetric weight will be calculated based on the length x width x height divided by 6000. When your Shop&Ship package is received at our US/UK office, we calculate both the actual weight of the package and its volumetric weight; the larger figure will be applied to your package. This procedure is followed by all airlines and freight forwarding companies.
How long does it take for me to receive a package once it is shipped from your Aramex New York or London office?
Once a package is shipped from our US or UK offices, it takes 4-6 business days to be delivered to you, provided that your shipment clears customs without being delayed or stopped by customs for any reason.
I frequently receive mail that includes promotional letters and catalogs which I did not order. I do not wish to receive such material; can you remove them from my mailbox?
Every time you provide your name and address to order a product or a service from a supplier, there is a good chance you are being added to one or more mailing lists. For example, when you place an order from a catalog company, most likely you will begin receiving new catalog issues from the same cataloger or from those who sell similar products. The Aramex Shop&Ship service is a mail forwarding service; all items received in your mailbox are collected and shipped to you within 4-6 business days.

On-line Orders and Credit Card Verification Questions
I placed an order with an online merchant using my local credit card but the merchant did not accept it, why?
Some online merchants don’t accept international credit cards, or credit cards of billing addresses outside the USA, (check with your credit card issuer if this occurs).
I received my Shop&Ship package but it is missing an item, how can I claim this missing item?
You need to contact the merchant for more information about your order. Most of the time, merchants will either ship your order in several packages on different days; or accidentally place the wrong number of items in the package, especially if your order has more than one piece. Another reason could be that the item you ordered is simply out of stock; merchants usually advise you of such that or ship it to you at a later date.
If I place an online order but receive the wrong item, can I get a special reduced rate to return this item back to the merchant?
Unfortunately, Aramex does not offer special shipping rates in this case. All returned merchandize will be charged the normal Aramex shipping rate.
I placed an order with an online merchant, a while back, and I have not received it yet. What could the reason be?
There are a number of reasons for such a delay:
- The merchant did not ship your package, because they couldn’t get the proper authorization from your credit card company for your order. We advice you to contact the merchant for clarification, in this case.
- The merchant shipped the package to your mailbox but the package got lost along the way. Contact the merchant for tracking and delivery confirmation or request a replacement.
- The package was received at your New York / London mailbox address, but your name and mailbox number weren’t printed on the package label. Your package could be stored in the Unknown Packages zone. Contact your local Aramex station to check on the status of your package.
- Your package contains hazardous material and it is held at our New York / London office. Contact your local Aramex station to check on the status of your package.
