We calculate our carbon footprint following the GHG Protocol by the WBCSD and WRI, using an operational control approach to include emissions from controlled locations, excluding franchisees and agents. Scope 2 emissions are calculated with IEA tools to ensure accuracy. External audits validate our data and methods for transparency. More details on measurement techniques and reporting are on Page 113. Furthermore, as part of our data transparency and commitment to greening logistics, we offer detailed emissions data based on the unique requirements of our customers, such as shipment type, transportation mode, or specific routes.
SOX and NOX
In 2024, we updated our calculation to calculate SOx and NOx
separately in line with global best practices using Environmental
Protection Agency and this updated methodology has also been
applied for comparative figures which were previously published.
The above risks correspond to our highest priority risks, but they do not make an exhaustive list of all the risks assessed. In total, 30 different climate risks were assessed.
Opportunities Arising from Climate Action
We have continued identifying and expanding on opportunities to help drive positive
change across our value chain, which we have outlined on Pages 37-38 in our 2023 annual
integrated report.
