Fastway Couriers wins International Franchisor of the Year
- Second time in three years that Fastway Couriers wins the Franchise Council of Australia International Franchisor of the Year award

11 October 2017: Fastway Couriers has again won the prestigious International Franchisor of the Year Award, the second time in three years, with the game-changing Blu Couriers and Parcel Connect just two of the innovations that helped secure the recognition.
The company’s focus on future-proofing its franchisees’ businesses so they are optimally placed to benefit from Australia’s $10 billion-plus e-commerce revolution and meet customers’ needs proved a key factor in the recognition at the National Franchise Convention.
“With three in every four Australians shopping online, and given our business’ rapid transition from B2B to B2C, Fastway Couriers is continually looking for ways to best meet the needs of our franchisees and their customers,” Peter Lipinski, Fastway Couriers Australia CEO said.
“We’ve transformed our thinking here at Fastway as we continue to evolve in order to help our Regional Franchisees and 800 Courier Franchisees capture more of the e-commerce market and better manage the growing volume of deliveries while also growing their business.”
Fastway Courier’s ability to leapfrog their franchisees’ businesses ahead of trends is fuelled in a large part by the company’s connections to disruptive market leader, international courier and logistics company Aramex. Aramex, which operates in over 60 countries, purchased Fastway Couriers in January 2016, providing the business and its franchisees with access to world-leading research, resources and expertise.
Among the innovations introduced in the year to date are:
- Parcel Connect (www.parcelconnect.com.au ) taps into the diverse business hours of local stores and petrol stations to provide a close and convenient drop off and collection point for both customers and Fastway’s franchisees.
- Blu Couriers (https://blucouriers.com.au/) is an innovative platform developed to support Fastway’s franchisees. Blu Couriers harnesses the rapidly evolving sharing economy to provide franchisees with an on-demand, trained workforce to meet forecast and unexpected spikes in deliveries. Blu Couriers is currently recruiting drivers ahead of Christmas. An Australian initiative, it is currently being rolled out globally.
- MyFastway.me is an interactive, two-way communication tool, which is available to all members of Fastway based in Australia. Designed as an advanced internal communication & feedback tool, in the form of an intranet, MyFastway.me provides all employees with access to remuneration details, score cards, relevant network & industry information, & much more. It also enables Fastway’s Head Office to effectively interact & engage with franchisees of every level within the company.
- Fastway has nationally rolled out Blackbay’s leading technology to all franchisees. The technology provides end-to-end solutions for the entire delivery process, from shipper through to the end receiver. Connecting the shipper, operations, management, Courier Franchisee and the customer, Blackbay provides real-time data and automated workflows to enhance and streamline the delivery process.
- Fastway continues to work with Officeworks to drive the company’s new parcel delivery service, Mailman. As Mailman’s premier courier service provider, Fastway is responsible for transporting parcels throughout our extensive national network on a daily basis.
