Lingang Sci-Tech Investment and Lingang Sci-Tech City Sign a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Aramex
Jointly Build a New Ecosystem Integrating Cross-Border Logistics and Sci-Tech Industries
On the afternoon of June 4, Shanghai Lingang Economic Development Group Science and Technology Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Lingang Sci-Tech Investment), Shanghai Lingang Science and Technology City Economic Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Lingang Sci-Tech City) and Aramex, a world-leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider, held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Aramex is a renowned global integrated logistics service provider and the leading logistics enterprise in the Middle East. It was listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2005. Its business footprint covers more than 70 countries and over 600 cities worldwide, with four core business lines: International Express, domestic express, freight forwarding, and logistics& supply chain solutions. Leveraging its geographical advantage linking the East and the West, Aramex focuses on cross-border logistics and logistics services for emerging markets. In China, Aramex established a joint venture, AramexSinotrans, with Sinotrans to deepen its presence in China’s cross-border logistics market and support enterprises in developing global supply chain layouts.
Based on the institutional innovation and concentrated sci-tech industries of Lingang New Area, the three parties will integrate Aramex’s global logistics network resources and localized service capabilities to forge a comprehensive strategic partnership. The trio will jointly advance the coordinated development of cross-border logistics and sci-tech industries, carry out two-way empowerment, support industrial park enterprises in overseas expansion, and pursue industrial collaboration in key regions including the Middle East and Africa.
Pursuant to the agreement, adhering to the principles of "lawful compliance, complementary strengths, resource sharing and mutual benefit", the three parties will give full play to their respective industrial advantages, integrate diverse resources, and strengthen cooperation in the coordinated development of cross-border logistics and sci-tech industries through joint marketing, optimized collaborative services and information sharing. Together, they will contribute to Shanghai’s development as an international center for economy, finance, trade and shipping, as well as support Chinese enterprises in going global.
Weng Wei, Deputy Chief Economist of Lingang Group, Chairman of Lingang Sci-Tech Investment, and Party Secretary & Chairman of Lingang Science and Technology City; Wang Yachun, Deputy General Manager of Lingang Cross-Border Company; Zhang Xinyin, Assistant General Manager and Director of the Investment Management Center of Lingang Sci-Tech Investment attended the ceremony.
Also present from Aramex were Nicolas Sibuet, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development; Archer Fu, Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific; Nizar Zouhairi, President of Global Freight; Mark Cheong, North Asia Director; and Baoguo Wan, General Manager of joint venture Sinotrans Aramex.
Relevant departments, including the Investment Management Department and Incubation Operation Department of Lingang Sci-Tech Investment, the Marketing Headquarters of Lingang Science and Technology City, and the Strategic Research & Cooperation Department of Lingang Cross-Border Company, participated in the signing ceremony.
