  • When can I request the Shield Service?

    The Shield Service must be requested by the customer before:

    • the shipment is handed over to Aramex; and
    • the actual damage or loss to the shipment occurs.

  • I don’t have an invoice for my shipment protected under the Shield Service. How will Aramex determine the declared value of the shipment?

    Shield service is not available for shipments with no invoice. A commercial invoice or a pro forma invoice must accompany the shipment and Aramex will determine the declared value of the shipment as follows:

    Aramex will evaluate your shipment based on:

    • Shipments with Commercial Invoice: Declared value based on the commercial invoice.
    • Shipments with Pro Forma Invoice: goods will be deemed used items and value will be determined based on market value or second-hand replacement value, whichever is the lesser.
