Overview

With Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program, merchants / retailers are now able scale their business and reach more customers at the same time have their products stored and managed through Amazon's fulfillment centers in the US encompassing inventory management, shipping and customer service support.

Challenges

International merchants / retailers are eligible to subscribe to this program but would however need to have a registered US entity as the importer of records for high value products in excess of USD$2,500. In most instances SME Merchants / Retailers do not have a registered entity in the US to participate in the FBA Program. The complexities and set-up cost of establishing a US based entity poses significant challenges in the SME environment.

As the authorized Power of Attorney, Aramex will clear US customs using the merchant / retailer status as an approved Foreign Importer of Records (FIOR) with the physical delivery made to the designated Amazon Fulfillment Center in the US.
